In a surgery called RIRS (Retrograde Intrarenal surgery), a flexible tube is inserted via urethral opening and probes the internal part of kidney and the stones are fragmented with the LASER. No incision of any type is required and patient usually recover and can go home in same or next day. Karuna Hospital acquire a high grade Holmium Laser from Germany and started its service this week. A 26 year old gentleman from Dang, with flank pain and kidney swelling underwent the procedure and has gone home after recovery the very next day.
